Why hasnt DigitalvB upgraded to vB4

vB4 Gold is out but the mood is anything but optimistic. Initial reports point out its poorly prepared and rushed. There are various issues with CMS and other small buggy issues which put vB4 Gold as work in progress.

If any of you read annoucements it was also pointed out 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 are due in first week of Jan and they have major CSS changes.

Are you planning on doing a major new design or design upgrade for your 4.0 forum? There are some minor changes to the organization and conventions in the CSS style sheets in the 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 releases (the weeks of January 4 - 8 and January 18 - 22, respectively) that may affect any designs you do today. Bear in mind that this is a brand new major version release of the product and we're still assimilating feedback on what's best for our designers and skinners.

Considering all these issues i have to wait until a proper vB4 version is out before i can start styling and converting to vB4 Styles, rest assured i am up to date on current progress of vB4 and will update so if seen necessary to members.

Is it safe to upgrade to vB4. If you are on shared hosting then you might want to think twice for now.

Why the HELL hasnt digitalvb released NEW Styles yet or Updated a few.?

Popular and valid question still after 4.0.2 release and im afraid all i can tell you right now is vB4 is still well below stability level right now. It has many more bugs and some new ones cropping over. It is just not feasible for me to update or release anything new, they also have a template issue now so guess we have to wait for next or maybe 2 more maintainence versions before we can move on to releasing. I assure you im working towards providing many more exciting themes.
